Thai Society Kansas City
In every big city, there is at least one Thai Society or Thai Association where Thai people get together regularly. In Kansas City, the Thai Society is still small but the Thai Society of Kansas City serves people in both the state of Kansas and Missouri.
What does the Thai Society in Kansas City do?
The Thai Society in Kansas City provides a community for Thais in Kansas City and surrounding areas to get together, exchange thoughts, have fun, as well as eat Thai food together. The Pot Luck dinner is famous among Thai people who love to cook (or buy) and bring their food to share with other Thai people. It is a chance for Thai people to meet other Thai people as well as sample great Thai food that they miss.
Apart from socializing with Thai people and learning about Thailand and Thai culture through meeting people, the Thai Society occasionally hold classes on Thai cooking, Thai culture, Thai language and starting a business in Thailand.
Do I have to be Thai to come to a Thai Society meeting?
No. Everyone is welcome. However, most people who come to the Thai Society meeting generally have some sort of interest in Thailand, Thai culture, are visiting Thailand soon and want some information, Thai language or even Thai food.
Is there a fee to join?
No. There is no fee to join the Thai Society. Just put your name on our mailing list and you will receive notices about our meeting and pot luck dinners.
How much does attending a pot luck dinner cost?
Nothing. However, most people bring some food with them to add to the pool of food. You can bring food, snack, dessert, or drinks. You don't even have to bring Thai food but it is preferred.
