Waterworks Park

Waterworks Park in Olathe Kansas (part of the Kansas City metro area) is a gem hidden among residential homes. Waterworks Park may be hard to find but it is a beautiful park that is nice and peaceful suitable for relaxation when you want to take a stroll on a nice, manicured and well kept up park. Below are pictures of Waterworks Park in Olathe KS, not far from Overland Park Kansas. There is a water plant by Water Works Park which is probably why this great park is called Waterworks Park.

Waterworks Park has a walking or running trail that is about 0.8 mile. There is one lap around South and north lakes (0.78 mile). Mileage is marked for 2 laps around both lakes. First lap is about 3/4 mile and the second lap is about 1.5 mile. The north waterworks lake is shown on the left hand side of the picture (0.44 mile loop) and the south Waterworks Lake is shown on the right hand side ((0.44 mile loop). This Waterworks Park is regulated by the Olathe Parks and Recreation. The park is located on Sheridan Street.
